About us

Zaķumuiža water extraction site was opened in 1936, as one of the most valuable and capacious quality water extraction sites in Europe. “Zaķumuiža” water is extracted from a deposit in Garkalne District and bottled at the source. The plant is located within the strict protection zone, which is enclosed and guarded day-and-night. Within a radius of several kilometres, it is a nature reserve included in the list of Natura 2000 Special Protection Areas and is covered by ecologically clean pine forest. Zaķumuiža water is a 100% Latvian capital company which is constantly developing. On 18 June 2011, a new production facility was opened to meet European standards. On 1 February 2016, one of the wells was granted the status of natural mineral water.
